Potential

It is often stated that one is or is not living up to their true potential. It can be that we are not trying as hard as we should, that our drive isn't as strong as it once was in the beginning. Yet, ones potential is hard to truly measure, it is not like we can get the yard stick out and say yes you are over achieving or are falling short by a lot. Our potential is what we are capable of achieving such as a goal or an assignment at work. It is what others are able to see in us, that we may not be able to see if we looked at ourselves. Sometimes others are able to view our potential because they are seeing what we are able to become if we continue to strive at the current pace and not look back.
Yet, have you ever stopped to consider what your potential is with God. Is there an expectation that he is looking for out of those who call themselves a "Christian". If there is a true potential that we are to strive to, then what is it and it different if you are a male or female, young or old. I would have to venture to say that our potential with the Heavenly Father is one that is ongoing and is one that is the same for all those who are His children.

Christians or children of the Almighty Father are to live to worship the King, and praise Him on a daily basis. One of the things we are to be doing daily is furthering His kingdom, while we have the gift of living on the earth. We are walk in His ways as we go about our daily lives. One of the things that is vital in today's society is reaching out to those around us in love. Taking the time to not only talk to others but also listening to them as they share with you about their day, life, worries, and celebrations. This can be a hard task, if we consistently have to deal with those who get under our skin, or annoy us when they are around. This love can be a simple hello, taking time to acknowledge all that you come into contact with, or taking the time to have a simple conservation with that individual. You may not realize what an impact you are having at that moment by taking a small amount of time each day to reach out to others. God is able to work through you in times that you may not realize.

God is able to tug and pull on others hearts, and not make you aware that you are doing work for His kingdom. All you know is that you are simply chatting with another about something that they want to share with you at that moment. It could be they are looking for a friend, and feel drawn to you because they are able to see Christ in you and in your actions. They may ask you what it is that you have that is different. They may want to know how you are able to function when everything around you is falling apart and you seem so calm. It is simply the love, comfort and relationship that you have with Jesus that keeps you going. Knowing that you are never alone no matter what, that you are able to call His Name and He will be there for you in less then a heart beat. We as children of the Almighty Father know that he will never leave us nor forsake us in our times of need or joy. Many others are able to sense that security in us and are trying to find out what it is so that they too can have that joy, peace, comfort and love in their lives.

Our potential is to ultimately further the kingdom of Christ, but to further that kingdom we have to know who He is to us. For this to happen we have to take the time to live for Him, walk with Him through Bible study, prayer, mass or church services where we are able to learn and grow in God. Our hearts need to be open to what God wants us to do for His kingdom.

God brings people across our path and we just can't stand them and want to hide, there is a reason why they are now in our lives. They may need a friend or a ear to listen to because they are alone, afraid, scared or just lonely and may not have anywhere else to turn. Yet, because we have taken that time to say hello to them, they come to us as Christians in their times of need. They come to us because they can see something in us that they too long for and maybe by showing them the love of the Heavenly father we are helping God's kingdom grow a little more each day.

Who Are You?

There come a time in our lives that one must ask who are we, what is it that we stand for, what do you believe, who are you? How are we defined in life, and by what standards do we set for ourselves and for those that are around us. We have grown into adult and have lives that are full of family and work commitments, and maybe a weekly church outing where too many times we sit and watch the clock, wishing the priest or pastor would finish his sermon so we can go about out day! We sit there in the pew, and think this is such a small part of our day, yet more often then not it is something that we dread every Sunday. Yet, there are a few in the pews on Sunday morning that are just rejoicing that they are there in the house of the Lord to worship the one true, loving and forgiving God. So who are we?

Are we the soul that sits in the pew and defines ourselves by the job that we perform day in and day out at work. Are the answer lady at work, are you the teacher in the Middle School, that is not sure she/ he is reaching the kids in their classroom. Are you the doctor that is questioning why theses things happen to the individuals that are in your care? Do you question the one that tells you the dreaded news and now you wonder how you are going to make it through the next hour, day, week, month or year? Are you the individual that sits there as a homemaker and feel that you are not as worthy as those around you because you have the privilege to stay home. Where do we fit, do we question why or what we do daily, and wonder if we are doing the right job at all, is the grass greener on the other side of the road? Is it possible that more money will cure all things or a better career, a new career is the answer to happiness in life. Maybe we sit there in the pew on Sunday morning just so we can question God about all the things that He has allowed to happen to us in the past week, since we tend to focus on the negative so much in life, rather then on the good that is happening all around.

Yes, we tend to focus on the negative more and more each day. Have you ever noticed that when we turn on TV there is little positive shows, they all focus on the negative things, or those things that seem to breaks the laws of God. TV and movies focus on who did it, and why. They tend to revolve around a few common topics that are in society today that of Murder and Adultery. Yet, what they tend to leave out of it all is the true emotional pain that lasts so much longer then an hour! They don't focus on what happens to the family as they learn to grieve and deal with the impact of what has just happened to their family. It cannot portray the deep emotional pain that may take years to heal and for those wounds to heal. There is a reality to the fact that by breaking the 10 commandments that there is so much more that happens other then the simple sin against the Holy Father that has created you. There is an impact on not only that individual, but to the family, extended family, friends, and all those that loved the individual that has been hurt in the situation.

Yet, that is the day that we live in, it is how society has evolved, or has it? It is the way that it has to be or is there something that we as Christians are able to do to change the world around us. Are we as members of the body of Christ able to make a real difference in the community around us. Yes, we are able to make an impact on society one individual at a time. We are able to do this by sharing the Love of Christ with those we come in contact with on a daily basis.

We are able to show this love in the workforce all the time, by loving those who set out to hurt, or talk about you in ways that bring you down. We are able to forgive them for the actions and love them as Christ is able to love us as sinners. We are able to pray over meals in public, to show the others that we truly believe in God, and are thankful for the ability to go out to eat, while other have to eat home because they are not able to afford a fine dinner out. We are able to bless others in the community or in our church community by watching other's children so they too can have a break during the day and have time to themselves even if it is just an hour or two.

We as Christians are not defined by our roles that we hold in the community, it a part of who we are but no means is that to be all that we are in society. First and foremost we are Children of God, we are the sons and daughters of the Almighty Father, the seed of Abraham. We are His children, before any other role! We are love and held a bit higher then the angels in heaven. We are looked upon by God as His child, one who He created, and loves no matter what it is that we do, even if we walk away from God. He is there with open arm and will come running to you when you come home to Him, welcoming His child back to the kingdom of God. He is there watching and listening to our prayers and working things out so that we are able to give Him the glory through our lives. We are to walk with Him, Talk to Him, Worship Him on a daily basis not just Sunday morning when we may or may not be in the mood to sit in a pew to hear let alone worship the almighty Father.

As His children we hold a special place in the heart of God, just as we hold a special place for our children or our parents as they age and grow older before our very eyes. We have the hand of God at our side, there to hold as we walk through this life. We are there holding His hand, following after Him on a daily bases to grow in him and to reach out to all that are hurting so they can find the love and peace that is there in His arms.

So who are you? Are you a child of God, or are you walking alone in the world? Reach out God is there and fill you and ready to shower you with the love that is so perfect that it will fill you and begin to heal the wounds and scars that are so deep we don't even speak about them, because we just cannot stand that pain! Reach out and take the hand of God and find the peace, comfort, and love that you are longing for in this world, which can not be found in the world, only from the Heavenly Father.

The Duet

Music is a wonderful thing. We listen to bands play our favorite songs and we dance, groove, play air guitar to them. Yet there songs that just tend to move us through life, that really seem to touch us in some sort of magical way. There are songs that tend to move us or tug at our heart strings. Some of theses songs are duets. They are songs where two separate artists, sometimes from two separate musical genres come together to create a real masterpiece. Something that one is unable to perform on their own, where they need the member of the other band to make that song flow.

The duet is a beautiful thing, it is able to create a beautiful harmony between to singers that did not exist prior to that moment. It is when the two come together to create that harmony that is not able to be duplicated by any other person, because it is a combination of the two voices that make it so unique. Yet, there is to be a harmony, a duet that is to run throughout our lives. One that is there at all times, through the good and the bad. A partner that we are able to lean on at any hour no matter what the circumstance may be at the moment.

God is  with us as we move through our lives. He is the only one that knows the true matters of the heart. There are nothing that we need to hide from the Heavenly Father. He is there and created us to be who we are in him and that all matters of our heart truly matter to Him. There is no need to hide feelings, deep emotions, tears or anything else from the Father, he is there and understands what we are going through, because His son Jesus was on the Earth and experiences all of the human emotions known to man. God understands us, and is able to provide a shoulder to cry on or a listening ear when we so need to be heard by someone. Yes, prayers does wonders, God also brings people into our lives that we trust and share, and when we need that human shoulder to cling to and cry He provides you with just the right person at the right moment. God gives us certain people to help us through the rough times in life and they are their to celebrate the victories.

This duet that forms when you build that relationship with the Father, is one that becomes stronger in time. This duet of voices, song, and the one of the soul, is one that is so important in ones life. That relationship that you have with the Heavenly Father is one that is grows into a beautiful song that the soul sings daily. It is like your favorite song that you know all the words too, the melody that flows through ones heart, it becomes a part of you. This song that you love is one that you may sing at time, because something in that song touches you in a manner that no other song is able to do. It is like that relationship with the Heavenly Father, it is a relationship that you will never have with anyone else. It is a song and a melody that is in your heart that longs to sing to the Father, one that knows the love that the Heavenly Father has for you if you are willing to sing your part in the duet.

Oh the Love.....

Oh, how He loves you, Oh how He loves me. Oh to be loved unconditionally, and always know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are loved no matter what, it must be a wonderful thing. To be loved at all times, knowing that no matter what that you are loved, and that there is nothing that can tear you away from that love. Nothing can ever rob you from that love that you hold so dear to your heart. A true love, one that is always accepting, caring and guiding you in the right direction. A love that you would die for at any moment, if only we had someone to love us like that, think how full our heart would be at all times.

Yet, we have that love freely, if we are willing to accept it. A love that is there always, one that is ready to love on you no matter what time of day it is. it could be 3am or at 11pm and we feel that everyone has left us to our own defenses. That love is there for us beause we are Children of God. We are his beloved, we are created in His image, and since we are His children He will never turn His back on us. He is there when we call to him in prayer, He is there in the moments of good news and bad. He is there in moments when we feel all alone and don't know where to turn. He is there through thick and thin.

We are His children and loved beyond any measure that we could ever understand. We too are to grow and strive to be Christians as we grow in Him. We His children and we are to strive to be holy on a daily bases. To show others the Love of Christ through our  words and actions. We are to minster to others who may or may not know the Heavenly Father. Yes, we as Christians are not perfect by any means, but when we stumble and fail we have a hand there ready and waiting to pick us up. He is there to forgive us of sins that we commit that are spoken or unsdpoken. We are to confess those sins to others and ask for forgiveness for those things that we do wrong. As we grow in our faith, some of the desires to sin against the Heavenly Father will fall away, and new battles and trials will come, but as long as we continue to walk with Jesus we will have victory.

By continuing to walk in the Love of Christ we continue to grow in our faith and become more like Christ. As we continue to walk and talk with Him we are able to have hope that there is more to this life then the day that we are living. We know that by our faith in the Father we are loved, cherished and are His children and that we will never be seperated from Him unless we chose to walk away from God.

Joy with God.

Have you ever wondered what stole your joy? Why is going to mass or church on Sunday morning a chore. What happened to the day that we all looked forward to going to the house of the Lord. Do you give God full attention on Sunday or do you wonder how long the sermon will be because you are so looking forward to lunch. Is there a moment that we are there with God, in His house and at that moment are we truly present in His Spirit or are we blocking God with all that we are right now.

What is hindering you from going into the fullness of God. What obstacles are in our way from really focusing on God and being in His presence. Some would say we that there is a flaw in ones character, that we are not worthy of God, but that too is a lie. We all are children of the loving heavenly Father, and we became worthy of Him the moment we accepted Christ into our lives, and became forgiven of all sins and wrongs that we have committed against God. The Father in heaven is a wonderous God, who forgives and forgets all those wrongs and sees you as a child of His that he loves dearly, We are able to go to the Father through the cross and the fact that Jesus was that perfect lamb. That love that he has for us is never ceasing but always flowing out to all of His children. We are worthy, and loved beyond what we can ever understand.

With that kind of love and forgiveness at hand, what prevents us from truly going to the Father? That is simple it is ourselves. We are the ones that feel that we are not able to commune with the heavenly Father, yet in reality He is there ready and waitng for you to take a seat at His table daily. He wants to talk to you about matters of the heart and your day, no matter how good or bad. He is there wanting to spend time with you to develop that deep friendship with you, there are no grudges or bad in your past, rather He sees you as a clean child of His because of Jesus! He is there and the joy of being with him. If we are open to Him we will be able to see and feel that joy and love of the Heavenly Father. So where did that joy go, it never left, we just decided not to part take of it. Open your eyes, and heart to the Lord and you will once again find that joy!

Trash on the Side of the Road

Have you ever been driving along the road  and noticed some odd things lying there next to the highway. A baby's toy, a teddy bear, buff for the bath, or one black glove scattered along the side of the road. Have you wondered what had to transpire at that exact moment that could cause something to be tossed out of the moving car and left for the animals? Or what was the purpose of tossing these things now rather then when they arrived at the desitation. Yet, some may say that a young child in the back seat of the car was playing and it was an opps, and by the time that the parents noticed it was too late to go back or stop the car!

Yet, we can apply the same ideas to our lives. Some say that we all have baggage, from past relationships or wounds that won't heal, scars that are so deep that we refuse to talk to anyone about them. Then when we finally get the nerve to speak to a person about the scars or wounds or baggage, we get pushed aside by that one person who we wanted to share and asked to talk to another. Or they are not availabe and when you call them again they are so busy that tthey just don't have the time to chat with you at that moment or anytime soon. So we take that rejection as another wound, another scar to add to the collection.

Although, we never really get the nerve up to ask the vital question or we lose the courage to share that wound that we so needed healing. We take it as we are not good enough or the fact that they are just too busy with oher to really take the time to spend it with us, after all are we really that important to them or are we just another friend, who needs something from them once again.

Yet,  we try to talk to others, but sometime our heart needs to bear our wounds to one specific person. That one that we feel safe bearing our soul too. It is not that they don't care or want to help you rather it could be they are simply following God's orders. Maybe God had place you on their heart and they know that the other person is the one that will be able to relate to you better in what you need to share. It could be that God wants you to open up to more then one person, so that you and they can grow together and develop a freindship with each other and with the Father in heaven.

It is possible that the individual that you are wanting to bear your soul to is just not the right person and God is preventing heartach in you by trying to guide you to another soul that can walk with you and help you heal. God, knows who is the person that you need to reach out to even if it is awakward at the moment, but their is a reason for all that He does in your life. God gives you people in your life for a reason. Some are there to comfort, some are there to listen, some will help guide, and others are just there for a shoulder to cry on when we need to let go of the pain and scars in our life. Never second guess a man or woman of God, if they are redirecting you to another person there is a reason, and it is not personal. They are listening to what God is telling them, but the question becomes are you ready to hear what God says about the wounds, scars, baggage and all the pain that you hold so dear to your heart. Are you ready to let go if God puts the right people in your path to help you deal with matters of the heart, or do you run beacuse it is not who you wanted to bear your soul to today?

Where do you run?

There are some of us that talk to others, some that turn to friends, others that run to the church, pastors and priests and then there are some that are more comfortable bearing their souls to a total stranger, an outsider, a therapist. All are acceptable in a time of needm and we all need to have someone, somewhere that we are able to run in those times in our lives that we are struggling with personal, interpersonal or just stuff that is happening in our lives, We all have to have a refuge that we can bear the hurts, pains and wounds that we carry deep within us that many do not know that they even exist.

As humans we need to have someone that can talk to us and listen, really listen to what we are saying and not judge us by what we are feeling or thinking at that moment. We need to feel safe bearing our souls to someone when we are in need, or have pain deep within us, espicially when it is willing and coming to the surface. At these times it can be hard to see options, or think that anyone has ever been in this place where we sit in the midst of all the pain, and open wounds that are bleeding and we try as we may to cover them but just can't seem to get that bleeding to stop. It is in those moments that we tend to run to others that we trust or look for someone out there in the world that we feel safe with to share all that is within us at that moment. Someone who is willing to explore those thoughts and feelings, or look at the pain and what is happening in another light, someone who is there for us in the time of our need.

We all have these times in our lives, some have more than others, but we all go through tough and trying times in life. As Christians we have the ultimate comfortator there willing and want to help if we just reach out to him. As a Christian we have Jesus there at our calling, we can reach up to heaven and have Him come down to us and hold us in a time of need, He is there listening, and won't judge you for what you are feeling. He is there to wipe away all the tears, and will always be near. His love is never ending and he is always awake so it doesn't matter if it is 2 in the afternoon or four o'clock in the morning. Jesus does not sleep, and never see's his children as a bother or a problem. He is there waiting for you to call out to Him.

Yet, sometimes we reach out and still feel that we need more, that we need a human here on earth to talk to, it is then that we run to the church. We turn to the priest, a pastor, a leader in the church. We seek out someone that will understand what we are going through and can help us see God is there with us in the middle of the storm that we are in at the moment. We reach out and see that there is love here for us in the church, that God's love is all around us in the church. That the priest have a true heart for the people and that when we are hurting, they too feel the pain that we bear in our souls. They see us and love us as their family, so when we hide all our pain and hurts, it is then that we are hurtung our spiritual leaders as well. They are there for the church, but more importantly they are there for the people. They truly care for us as the members of the church. They love and care for us as their family, and want us to call them in the times of need, and not to run and hide in the back of the church or the fake smile on Sunday morning. I am sure they don't want us calling them at 3am, unless it is an emergency, but knowing several pastors and priests over the years, I know they want us to call them in the am if we need to talk and are struggling with finding or seeing God work in us, through us or simply knowing that God is still there and has not walked away from us when we are in need, pain and misery.

They are there to walk with us, guide us and help us walk with the heavenly father. The priest / pastors are there reaching out and asking that we call then when our faith is weak, and we are climbing out of the lowly pit that we may be in and can't seem to be able to grasp that rock to pull ourselves up off the floor. They are there reaching their hand down, saying grab ahold, I am here to help you my child. I am here to pray with you, show you the Father in heaven and be a shoulder you can cry on without any judgement or shame. Call me and I will help you, I am here for you always, just like the Father in heaven. Reach out in the times of need and you will see the love of the heavenly father reaching to you through others and through your priest / pastor of the church.

Who are you?

Who are you, what do you protray you are to the world. Are you  5 seperate people, one you show at work,  one that you show to your friends, then one at home, one in the community and  one at church. What do you put on as you walk out the door, who are you at that moment in time. Are you a parent, lover, christian, or do you associate yourself with your job. What truly defines who you are in this workl?

As Christians, those who love God, and follow him, we are to be wearing our Christian uniform at all times. There are many who clain to be Christian, followers of Christ, yet their actions say otherwise. So what is a Christian, a follower of Jesus, one who walks and talks with the Lord. They communicate with God through prayer, and listen to the heavenly Father while they are in prayer. They attend church, not because they have too, but rather it is a joy because it is a wonderful thing to come to the house of the Lord, and to sit in His presence. They are there when there is a need for prayer, they love with the love of Christ. They put their faith and trust in the heavenly Father.

We are to be different in the world, we are not to be of this world while we are here. This is not our true home, because the Father in heaven has a place saved for us if we talk and follow Him, a true relationship with Jesus. We are to be like aliens here because our home is in heaven. We are to show the love of Christ to all who come into our lives, if it for a moment or years. We are to be there to show them the love and compassion of Christ, so that they may come to know the Father through us. I have heard it said that we only love the heavenly Father as much as we love those who annoy us, bother us, or those that we just cannot stand to be around. It could be the pan handler in the park that begs for money because he is hungry or the lady that we work with that just gets under our skin. Yet, what we do to the least of these we do unto our heaven Father. We are there to minister to them, to ask God to give us the words, tolerance and ability to show them the love of Christ daily.

We have the love of Jesus and of the Father not because we are the selected few, but rather we have that love to show and bring others to the Lord. We are to be there in their times of need and times of joy. We are to love them when they seem unlovable, and that love may save them from doing something to hurt themselves or others. We may be able to reach them in their hurt, or lonelyness, by reaching out them them with a simple phone call or touch. It may be all they need to make it thorugh the day.

We are here to show the world the love of the father to all that we come in contact with in our daily lives, All deserve to be treated with the love of Christ and find the love of the Father. We are to keep that christian uniform on through all our roles not just when it is convient at church Sunday morning.

Sunday Morning

It's Sunday, a day of relaxing. Time to spend with family and friends before going back to the hecktic work week. Sunday, a day of rest, time to sleep in or all of the day if we so wish. Sunday a day for me, what is it that I want to day, stay in my PJ's all day, go for a walk, veg in front of the TV.  Sunday a day that we look forward too but at the same time we dread the thought of Sunday, becasue Monday is just around the cornor and it means responsibilities, school work, kid activities, taking and picking up the children from school, sports and all sorts of things we enrolled them in to keep them busy Monday though Friday. The work week is busy with all that we have going on in our lives, and Sunday is our day or is it?

Sunday is the day that we attend church, but do we go, or are we too tired from being out late last night with the wife or girlfriend. It is the day of recovery for some, to recoop and get back on their feet from living it up on Friday and Saturday night. A day we sleep til 1 or 2pm, shower and then relax, because the stress is going to be there on Monday, and one more day of no worries is better then none.

Yet, Sunday is God's day, it is a day that we are to go to church, to God's house to fellowship, worship and be with the the Lord. It is a joyful day, a day that we get to spend time in God's house and in His holy presence. Yet, all too often it is easier to push that snooze button and sleep a little bit longer, watch TV or to catch up on housework. Yet, it is not our day at all it is God's, he has given us each and every day to live our lives with free will, and all he asks for is an hour on Sunday. Yet, too often we are too busy to spend that hour once a week in God's house.

Sunday morning church is a joyous thing. It states in the Bible that we are to come to the Lord's house joyfully, not dreading every step in the door, or watching the minute hand on the clock. We complain if the sermon or homily is too long, and wonder why they can't say all that God wants them to say in less then 10 minutes so we can get to lunch. We all seem to be hungry when we attend church on Sunday. Ever notice that half way through the service your stomache is growling looking for food, or your phone in your pocket keeps ringing, or the text messages just keep coming while you are in church. Yet, the moment you are out, and back to daily living all is quiet again. Have you ever noticed all the little distractions in church that tend to pull your focus away from the Lord. Every thing that happens in that hour to say look here, baby crying there, text messages, phone vibrating and on top of all that you are starving. All this and more in the one hour that you are there in the Lord's house. With all the distractions, how are you able to see God, feel his presence, listen to his words that are spoken in the homily. How are we to really focus on the heavenly Father, that is why we are there in the first place, to seek, worship, listen and grow in the Lord.

Yet, if all of this happens and we walk out the same that we were when we walked into the church we missed it. Yes, you missed the puprose of being there in church! It's not to make the spouse happy, or for the children only. God is there in His house for all of us. He is there to met us where we are at that moment. He is there to comfort us, help us walk with Him. We are given the tools to help us walk that road of life in church in that hour that we are there, it is in the homily / sermon that we learn more about the Lord our heavenly Father. It is there that we are able to come to the table of communion, to find that healing that He has for us along with comfort and peace. It is in that hour of church that we can find the hope to make it though that tough time because we find hope in the Lord's house and in his loving arms.

It is in that hour not only do we find hope, and may actually hear form God, but we get to bask in His love, have peace, and joy in our soul. In that hours of taking the time to focus on God, and give him the attention that we neglect during the week, we are able to be forgiven of the sins, find that communion with God is at a new level. We are able to be open to healing in all areas of our life. Draw me closer.....

One main theme that we hear in sermons, homilys, worship songs and hymns is draw me closer Lord, draw me to you and let me dwelll in your presence. Come unto the Lord, draw unto Him, and He will draw to you. Come read, worship, and praise the mighty Lord, and you will find love, peace and joy in your heart.

Yet, this is not the easiest thing for us to do, we all have sin in us and have sinned against God. Yes, all have sinned, this includes you and me, the pastor in the local church, the priest at the local catherdal, the nuns who are hidden there in the convent and the deacon in the office down the hall. They all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. This makes us all sinners. Yet, it is often hard to think that those we look to for our spiritual guidance, who work, live and breathe to forward the love and word of God have sinned.  Although, they are human too and have needs, wants, and friends amoung us who wonder the church. They are no differnet the the rest of us in the Christian community other then they are called to a different minstry then the rest of us. They have a deep calling to fellowship, work for the Lord. They are there to help us, guide us to God in ways that we are may not see on our own. They are an ever present source of help when we are in need, we call then and they see us, counsel us and love us as children of the Lord and never ask for anything in return, other then a thanks as we walk out the door. They are the spiritual leaders in our churches and they are our friend in need.

They are all human, along with you and I, and we all have one common calling in our daily lives, one of drawing nearer to God. We are all to draw unto him and He will come to us if we ask Him. We are his children and he is not going to stay away from us if we ask Him to come. We are to draw near to one another in our time of need and in times of joy.  There is to be no lone soliders in the game of life, We are to have fellowship with each other and with the priests, pastors, nuns, and deacons of the church.

By drawing near to God, we ar then allowing ourselves to be open to God and what He wants for us as His children. We are able to grow in our faith in the Lord, and walk in the grace of the ever present Father.  It is in the drawing near to God that we are able to reach out and let go of hidden hurts, grief, and pain, because we have the love of the Father there with us able and willing to comfort us. Along with the Heavenly Father, we have those in the church that we can draw near too to help us along the path that we are walking.

This drawing of the Father will also allow us to come clean with God, get rid of the hidden dirt, the sins that no one knows about other then you. The things we are too ashamed of to ever speak of, those things that are well hidden in the past. We are able to let go of them and be washed completly in the Blood of Jesus. His blood can and will clease us if we are willing to let go, confess them, and allow ourselves to be forgiven by the Father. He loves us and wants to be so close to us, if we allow Him to come and draw near to Him, ask Him and He will be there with you.
