Music is a wonderful thing. We listen to bands play our favorite songs and we dance, groove, play air guitar to them. Yet there songs that just tend to move us through life, that really seem to touch us in some sort of magical way. There are songs that tend to move us or tug at our heart strings. Some of theses songs are duets. They are songs where two separate artists, sometimes from two separate musical genres come together to create a real masterpiece. Something that one is unable to perform on their own, where they need the member of the other band to make that song flow.
The duet is a beautiful thing, it is able to create a beautiful harmony between to singers that did not exist prior to that moment. It is when the two come together to create that harmony that is not able to be duplicated by any other person, because it is a combination of the two voices that make it so unique. Yet, there is to be a harmony, a duet that is to run throughout our lives. One that is there at all times, through the good and the bad. A partner that we are able to lean on at any hour no matter what the circumstance may be at the moment.
God is with us as we move through our lives. He is the only one that knows the true matters of the heart. There are nothing that we need to hide from the Heavenly Father. He is there and created us to be who we are in him and that all matters of our heart truly matter to Him. There is no need to hide feelings, deep emotions, tears or anything else from the Father, he is there and understands what we are going through, because His son Jesus was on the Earth and experiences all of the human emotions known to man. God understands us, and is able to provide a shoulder to cry on or a listening ear when we so need to be heard by someone. Yes, prayers does wonders, God also brings people into our lives that we trust and share, and when we need that human shoulder to cling to and cry He provides you with just the right person at the right moment. God gives us certain people to help us through the rough times in life and they are their to celebrate the victories.
This duet that forms when you build that relationship with the Father, is one that becomes stronger in time. This duet of voices, song, and the one of the soul, is one that is so important in ones life. That relationship that you have with the Heavenly Father is one that is grows into a beautiful song that the soul sings daily. It is like your favorite song that you know all the words too, the melody that flows through ones heart, it becomes a part of you. This song that you love is one that you may sing at time, because something in that song touches you in a manner that no other song is able to do. It is like that relationship with the Heavenly Father, it is a relationship that you will never have with anyone else. It is a song and a melody that is in your heart that longs to sing to the Father, one that knows the love that the Heavenly Father has for you if you are willing to sing your part in the duet.

The Tempo
There is a beat that run through our lives, a tempo to which we tend to live up too. There are some that are slow like a waltz and others that are so fast that one wonders if they could even count the beats per minute if they tried. There tends to be several beats that we hear throughout the day and yet we adjust to them as if there isn't a real change in the beat. We are able to flow to the music and gradually move through the day, and perform all that we need to do at the moment. This tempo keeps us moving, it almost gives us energy as we perform at home, as a parent, a lover, a friend, and as a child of God.
This tempo is different for all people, some are always running fast and others tend to run a littler slower. Yet, we all work together to accomplish what it is that we need to do during the day, and we are able to smile, laugh and cry when the time is right. We are able to show our emotions, be true to ourselves when we follow the tempo that is right for us. It is when we get caught up in the world and feel that we have to do more, be a better person, accomplish more goals or even keep up with the Jones that we throw that natural tempo off beat. When we tamper with that tempo for long periods of time we start to question where that original tempo was set. We then tend to reset the tempo to where we think we need to be, we move the inner beat to something that it was never intend to be set at, and then everything changes in our live.
Everything changes the seasons, neighbors, friends, relationships and all that is around us is always changing and some up hear that tempo to follow and others who have tampered with it are looking around for the right beat to follow. Yet that inner tempo is set before our birth, by the heavely Father that knows us from the moment of conception. He is there forming us in the womb of our mother and sets the beat that we will follow throughout our lives. That tempo, if we follow and truly listen to it will help us draw near to God, since He is our creator and knows all about us and is always with us. The Bible states that He will never leave us nor forsake us, that His love is always there if we listen to Him and follow His ways in our lives.
When we set that tempo back to the original setting we find that life works better fir us, there is less questioning and chaos that surrounds us, because we are following the tempo that is from Heaven. We are moving and living according to the ways of God, we are able to flow and groove into that tempo. We may find that our faith will grow, that we lean toward God and his ways when we move to the natural tempo that was set in us at birth. We may find that we long to be in the presence of God more then just Sunday morning.
We may find that God is real and He is there in all that we do, He guides that tempo to which we move, but sometimes we just want what we want and God gets pushed to the sidelines. It is then that we go off that path, and wonder in the desert for a spell till we start to listen once again and find that inner tempo, that leads us back home to the God and his ways. It is when we allow God to adjust our inner tempo when things happen that we are able to find that inner peace and solitude within our soul. It is when we follow and grow n God, that the tempo changes and we strive to do his will in our lives that we find that we are living the way that we are supposed to be living. That the tempo is just right for us and there is no need to adjust it.

Transformation Story
Stories are great, even as adults we love to tell others our stories. Stories that we have heard or those things that have happened to us personally. We call other and say something like, man I got a story for you, or you are not going to believe this. or you will never guess what happen. Then we go on and tell them all that has happened to us or others in our lives.
Stories are a wonderful thing, they are a part of who we are and what we are becoming as we age and grow older. A story is like a tree that is about to be transformed into something wonderful. Yet, the tree can't see that there is any way that it can be more beautiful then it is right now. Yet the carver or creator sees beyond the bark and the trunk, and sees a wondrous bench that we can sit on in the yard. or a playground that can bring so many children joy. Yet, it is the same in our Christian walk. God is able to see all that you are and can be for Him in this world, yet all we can see is the present and all that is surrounding us right now. It is so easy for us to get frustrated with God, and question Him and His ways when we can't see the answers now. It is then that God is slowing pealing away that bark and starting our transformation.
In that transformation in Christ, there is growth, and it may mean that we have to walk away from ungodly things, or from those people in our lives that are a bad influence on us. We may have to let go of hurts, forgive others and allow God to mend our hearts. So that we can be transformed into something more beautiful. In that transformation, we are changed into something so beautiful and the Father in Heaven is so proud to watch His story unfold in us. He is there guiding us when we are uncertain what to do or say. He is there to give us the right words to help others in there transformation as well.
We are all a story that being written daily. We all have experience that are unique to us,and we love to tell others about what is happening in our lives. Yet is seems that the most important transformation that we can experience we rarely share with others. The transformation that God is doing in us to create in us a clean heart. One that we are able to go to the Father, without shame and be able to talk and communicate with Him freely. That transformation is one to talk about, as we grow in Christ and in Godly things we need to share those things with others so they too can grown and be able to strengthen their faith as well.

Family Hurts
We would go yearly to some of the relatives house that we would not see very often for one reason or another. As a child we never really questions why we did or did not see certain family members, know that our parents knew best. That the underlying reasons that we did not visit, were know in some realm, yet never spoken aloud for any reason. That it was hush, hush, and that is just the way that it has to be right now, you will understand why when you are older. Yet, we grow older and never really ask the questions of why we don't really associate with certain family or visit them as often as others. It is just the family dynamics and that is it.
In reality though, there is so much more going on then we really want to acknowledge. As we venture further into our lives, and relationships become complicated and busy we tend to forget, or push things aside that are not in our lives at the moment. Even if it means walking away from certain family members, or not communicating with them. Yet, we know they are our family, we just are not that close to them and we really are not sure why, other then we just don't know them all that well, and with all the business in our lives who has time for another realtionship right now?
Yet, there is so many reasons under the lost relationships in our lives, whether it be family or friends. There can be a deep hurt, or something so small at the time that we have allowed to grow into so much more that now we have forgotten why we were even mad at them for in the first place. Yet, to put those things behind us is so hard, and to ask them for forgiveness for the wrong doing even if it isn't our fault is just beyond our comprehension! Since they should be the one to say sorry, they did me wrong! Yet as a Christian and a follower of Christ we are to forgive them, even if we did no wrong. By opening that door up and saying simply "I'm sorry for hurting you" By doing this, you are able to free yourself from the burden of the judgment on the other person, and you are able to touch them with the love of Christ. By letting go and allowing that relationship to now grow in Christ you will see how He can transform that hurt and pain into joy along with freedom.
There is so much power in forgiveness. Especially if it is in ones own family. By telling them other member that you now forgive them for holding that grudge, or pain that they have inflicted upon us. We are able to free them from that burden as well and us being free in Christ. We are able to see that person in a new light, one of Love and we are now able to love them as Christ would want us to love them. We are able to help them heal the hurts that are deep within them, by opening those doors of communication not only with you but with the Father in heaven. We are able to show them that by forgiving them, and allowing that wound to close, we are able to find freedom in Christ that we may not have experienced in the past. A freedom that allows you grow and go deeper with God. We are allowing God to work through us on a level that we may not realize, because we have finally let go of that hurt and grudge. As a Christian we are able to show others the true Love of Christ by simply forgiving them.

Healing After the Rage!
In the news over the last weekend there is a story about a senseless crime, a horrible shooting where several people died, or are still in the hospital and are in critical condition. It is a something that tends to draw a crowd, when a senator goes out into public to talk to the people that they are to represent. It is in a sense a part of their job to meet with the community. Yet, on this particular day there is an event that occurs that draws the people of the community and nation together once again. It is then that the community draws near to support those in need, those who are grieving and to try and understand what has just happened in the area and why.
The individual that is in custody is now behind bars and awaiting arraignment, yet that does not heal the hurt, the pain that the individual has caused to so many families. We look for answers in the clues that the individual has left in the area, home, work place, friends and family. The community and the families that are directly affected are looking for the answers, and there are none at this time. So that may leave us with a sense of void, feeling violated within our own town. Now we look for healing and something to pull us together as a community and help build that trust in one another again.
So where do we start, what do we do as a community to support one another and help each other through the horrible event that has just occurred to us? The people of the community start by pulling together and drawing on their faith. They seek out answers and look for reasons that may or may not be there, but that pain that all that has happened is still there in our hearts. We look for inner healing and peace to return to us and those who are around us.
As a community we turn to our faith in God, we look to Him for answers, for understanding, peace and love to return to all of those who effected. Yet, why would God allow all this to happen? It is not that He allowed it to happen, since we all have free will but rather, we are in a war daily and on that day the battle came and reared it ugly head.
One way we do this is by devoting some time each day to God. Time in prayer, reading the Bible, and finding His inner peace and love to comfort us in this urgent time of need. We look to God for comfort that cannot be found in other things or places. By seeking out the Heavenly Father, He is there, He comes to us in our time of need if we are willing to reach out to Him.
The heavenly Father is there to wipe the tears of the heart, bring comfort, and even joy in the morning when the storm has settled and we start to pick up the pieces of life. He is there to help us trust others in the community once again.
